Synthesis and Cycloadditions of 1,5‐Bis(3,5‐dioxo‐Δ 1 ‐1,2,4‐triazolin‐4‐ylmethyl)‐2,4‐dimethylbenzene The synthesis and properties of the title compound 3 are described as well as its (4 + 2)‐cycloadditions with cyclic dienes and anthracene to give the bis‐adducts 4–6 . With the bis(9‐anthryl‐methylthio)alkanes 7 , 8 the macrocyclic phanes 9 and 10 are formed.
