About the Addition of Amino Compounds to Dicyandiamide The reaction of ethyl anthranilate ( 1 ) with cyanoguanidine (dicyandiamide, 2 ) leads to 2‐guanidino‐4‐quinazolone ( 4 ). 2‐Aminobenzimidazole ( 5 ) reacts with 2 to yield 4 ‐amino‐2‐imino‐1,2‐dihydro‐ s ‐triazino[1,2‐α]benzimidazole ( 7 ).
