Synthesis of a Half Ylide ria Transition Metal Complex A novel cationic half ylide [Ft 2 NC(PMe 3 ) 2 ][BF 4 ] can be obtained by reaction of trimethylphosphine with the cationic carbyne complex [(CO) 5 CrCNEt 2 ][BF 4 ] followed by cleavage of the metal carbon σ‐bond. A mechanism is proposed which suits the experimental facts.
