Alkynyl Compounds of Transition Metals, XXXIV: IR Spectroscopic Investigations of Tetrakis(alkynyl)manganates(II) The quite low vC C frequencies of [Mn(C CR) 4 ] 2‐ (R = H, C 6 H 5 , CH 3 ) demonstrate a predominantly electrostatic interaction between the alkynyl ligands and the high spin Mn 2+ in these complexes.
