Die in der Literatur als „Dinaphthol” bezeichnete, durch Schmelzen von 2‐Oxy‐naphthaldehyd‐(1) mit Kaliumhydroxyd bzw. durch Erhitzen von 1‐Diazo‐naphthol (2) mit methanolischer Kalilauge erhältliche Substanz ist in Wirklichkeit Bis‐[2‐oxy‐naphthyl‐(1)]‐methan.
