Durch katalytische Alkohol‐Abspaltung aus Isopropoxyacetaldehyd‐diisopropylacetal und n ‐Butoxy‐acetaldehyd‐di‐ n ‐butylacetal wurden 1.2‐Diisopropoxy‐äthen und 1.2‐Di‐ n ‐butoxy‐äthen erhalten. Außer CeO 2 wurde Eisen (III)‐oxyd aktiviert mit MgO als Kontakt benutzt.
