The present contribution surveys recent developments and trends in homogeneous transition metal catalysis (HTMC). Emphasis is on industrially relevant reactions, such as hydroformylations, carbonylations, hydrogenations, oxidations, aminations, metatheses, and related tandem reactions. Besides classical petrochemical feedstocks, transformations of renewable resources are also taken into account. Additionally, examples of homogeneous catalysis in continuously operated miniplants are disclosed.
