Front Cover . Caryolanes known as β ‐caryophyllene alcohols are widely occurring sesquiterpenes in plants. Two new caryolane‐type sesquiterpenes, micaryolane A and B ( 1 and 2 ), together with caryolan‐1,9 β ‐diol ( 3 ) were isolated from the cultures of marine Streptomyces sp. AH25. Their structures were elucidated by extensive analyses of HR‐MS and NMR spectroscopic data. The absolute configurations were determined by analyses of the CD data of in situ formed [Rh 2 (OCOCF 3 ) 4 ] complex and supported by comparison of experimental specific optical rotations and calculated ones. Compounds 1 – 3 showed no inhibitory activities against Hep3B or MG‐63 cell lines or against Gram‐positive and Gram‐negative bacteria. These results have proved bacteria as a productive source of terpenoid metabolites as reported by J. Wu , Y. Zhu , M. Zhang , H. Li , and P. Sun in their full paper at 10.1002/cbdv.202000769.
