A new epimeric lupane triterpenoid, 3 α ‐hydroxy‐20‐oxo‐30‐norlupane ( 1 ), and a new flavanone (nubatin; 3 ) have been isolated from Salvia nubicola collected from Quetta, Pakistan. The structures of these constituents were elucidated with the aid of spectroscopic techniques, including two‐dimensional NMR and NOE experiments. Both the metabolites were found to be moderately bio‐active.
