Whether you call them critical incident response or emergency action plans, your athletics department must prepare to address all types of catastrophic injuries involving multiple casualties caused by natural and man‐made incidents, from active shooters to bombings and earthquakes to fires. An all‐hazards approach can reduce risk and liability in most situations.
