During the last 10 years, the college athletics world has seen an increasing number of cases involving student‐athletes expressing their displeasure at the manner in which their coach treats them. Student‐athletes have complained about and brought lawsuits against coaches who allegedly treated them in a disparaging, disrespectful, harassing, or discriminating manner. Of course, unlawful harassment and discrimination are inexcusable, should never be tolerated, and must be immediately investigated and promptly addressed.
