The plaintiff's spouse was an assistant dean at Mount Aloysius College. During her spouse's tenure as assistant dean, the plaintiff worked part time as a game‐clock operator for the college's home basketball games. Game‐clock operators were hired on a per‐game basis. Accordingly, the plaintiff signed separate contracts for each game she operated the game clock and had control over which games she worked. The college also sent her 1099 tax forms related to her employment.
