When Nan Carney‐DeBord, M.A., began her role nine years ago as Director of Athletics and Recreation and Chair and Professor of Health, Exercise and Sport Studies at Denison University in Ohio, she appreciated the opportunity to work with many incredible leaders, mentors, and coaches at her alma mater — but she also noticed many silos.
