In his role as president of Old Dominion University since 2008, John R. Broderick has overseen the renewal of the football program and the addition of volleyball. He has also served on Conference USA's board of directors and on the National Collegiate Athletic Association's Division I Presidents Forum, mentored aspiring athletics directors, and supervised athletics in a previous role as VP of institutional advancement and admissions. So he knows what it takes to manage a college athletics department through all the expected and unexpected ups and downs.
