Always keeping in mind that student‐athletes and aspiring athletics administrators are watching, Tamica Smith Jones has learned “to push through and overcome” the many obstacles and challenges she's encountered during her 20‐year career in college athletics. While she stayed focused on setting an example and paving a pathway for others, she also achieved significant success in her career, becoming athletics director at the University of California, Riverside, and being named a Women Leaders in College Sports Administrator of the Year for Division I.
