The last thing coaches and athletics directors likely want to hear is the need to take more administrative steps to comply with yet another time‐consuming and complex law or regulation. Unfortunately, as it turns out, a new privacy law recently implemented by the European Union directly applies to schools and coaches involved in the recruitment and enrollment of international student‐athletes from Europe.
