To accurately assess a sport program, you need an insider's perspective combined with a detailed overview. You can't assume you already know everything you need to know. But you don't have time to extract pertinent facts from coaches when you're compiling an annual report. And you can't rely on the passing comments, praises, and gripes from just a few coaches or student‐athletes. You need the unadulterated truth from everyone in that program.
