Gavin Class collapsed while practicing with the Towson University football team in August 2013. After a liver transplant and intense rehabilitation, his doctors — who specialized in liver transplants — cleared him to again play football. An expert from the Korey Stringer Institute — a nationally recognized center for the study of heat stroke — also cleared him to play.
