Title IX, sexual harassment, sexual assault, bystander intervention, and consent. They've all become such commonly used terms in conversation and in the media lately that we tend to assume student‐athletes must understand what they mean and how they apply to their lives. But the reality is that misconceptions and confusion abound among student‐athletes. And that can lead to legal and reputational problems for your student‐athletes, your athletics department, and your school as a whole.
