Doreen Jokerst knew that she wanted to work in law enforcement after a childhood visit to Alcatraz. Jokerst, who is currently the Police Chief for the University of Colorado, Boulder, spent about 20 years in municipal policing before being hired at CU. She shared how she's increased transparency within her department and her tips for actively recruiting a more diverse department.
