How do active shooters behave before an attack? And why do they attack? What commonalities can we draw from past attacks to potentially predict violent behaviors? These are some of the questions the Federal Bureau of Investigation seeks to answer in its newly released report, A Study of the Pre‐Attack Behaviors of Active Shooters in the United States Between 2000–2013 .
