Hate crimes and hate incidents have risen in number across the country in recent months, including on college campuses. White supremacists recently put intimidating posters on the doors of minority faculty members at Indiana University at Bloomington and more than 30 other colleges. Graffiti including swastikas has been reported at a number of campuses. And right‐wing websites target faculty members for perceived liberal tendencies, leading to harassment and even death threats against these professors.
