It is no secret that the relationships between law enforcement agencies and the communities they serve have been strained in the last few years. I imagine readers have a variety of opinions on the cause of these tensions; some may argue politics while others may point to specific instances of bad acts by police officers or by the civilians they have encountered in varying stressful situations.
