Does a college or university campus with a significant sports presence create a heightened risk of sexual assault for college‐aged women? A recent study found there was a 28 percent increase in reported rapes of college‐aged women (defined by the study as 17–24 years old) on those days on which Division I‐A football games were played versus reported rapes on non‐game days.
