One of Steven Moore's favorite parts of being police chief at Florida Gulf Coast University is the sense of community officers enjoy on a campus. Moore came to FGCU after retiring as chief of the police department in Naples, Fla. His municipal department used a community‐oriented policing style. So when he retired from that job and came to FGCU, the transition was easy. And he was pleased to find that other units on campus were eager to work with his department and support its work.
