Key Practitioner Messages Evidence exists for the concomitant presence of sexual abuse with other forms of maltreatment; however, this audit study suggests that questions that could arouse the suspicion of CSA are not being asked consistently. It is important for healthcare professionals to specifically consider sexual abuse when seeing children who present for Child Protection Medical Assessments.
