Key Practitioner Messages This is the first study assessing hospital‐wide knowledge and the impact of a Child Protection Week as a method of training. We have identified the effective elements of a Child Protection Week. The newsletter and Intranet articles proved the most recalled media. Self‐declaration of child protection knowledge is an effective method to evidence training. Staff were significantly more likely to have positive knowledge, skills and attitudes to safeguard children.
