Frantz Bernard — an East Stroudsburg University student — told one of its vice presidents in August 2007 he'd been sexually harassed and assaulted by Isaac Sanders, director of the ESU Advancement Office. Bernard claimed the harassment consisted of an off‐campus sexual assault, two on‐campus instances of attempted unwanted touching, and several unwelcome comments. He also alleged Sanders obtained a job for him, secured financial aid for his summer courses, and gave him several personal gifts.
