Specially developed computer software for a three‐phase induction motor simulation for an undergraduate course is presented. The computation time of the simulation method used is reasonably short: about 29% of the CPU time required by the ordinary fifth‐order model. Using the software tools developed, students can effectively perform analysis of induction motors at various modes of operation. The software is viewed on the color display of a personal computer, and each part of the program may be activated by means of a user‐friendly graphics editor.
