This article describes a computer program, which is developed in Visual Basic, for designing open channels. Manning, Darcy–Weisbach, or Hazen–Williams equations can be used to calculate the uniform flow parameters. The program is also able to calculate and draw the surface profile with deciding the profile type of gradually varied flow. © 2008 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
