In this study we present a Web‐based interface to a dynamic simulation. The simulation is based on an emulsion polymerization process operated by the Dow Chemical Company. We also describe the software architecture that allows simulation updates to be transmitted dynamically across a network, from a server‐based simulation to a Web‐based client. © 2005 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
