The purpose of this paper is to present a new approach in the study of administrative performance in the field of education. The primary objective of the research is to identify relationships which may exist between selected personal characteristics of school principals and the decisions they make in a simulated elementary school. The results of the research to date support the theory which indicates that differences in educational background and experience of the subjects are reflected in differences in their decision making, as they use the simulation model.
