THIS SECTION on Computer Modeling and Simulation made its debut in the January 1974 issue, with comments on the general systems/system simulation symbiosis. In this issue we shall be concerned with the potential for technology transfer, with respect to simulation, from the physical to the physiological sciences; we shall present several descriptions, or abstracts of papers describing applications of simulation, using the same or very similar techniques and equipment, to study both physical and physiological systems.
