Abstract The article by Moser, von Zeppelin and Schneider (1970) is critized on three basic counts: (1) Empirical evidence is cited to suggest that the psychoanalytic model used is invalid. (2) No empirical validation is offered for the mathematical forms of the postulated relationships. (3) No data are offered or exist against which the model predictions could be tested. It is argued that their article is a fantasy on a Freudian theme. It is not science and never will be.
