Abstract A computer program, CORD, was developed that permits coordinated problem solving in conversational mode among operators of three computer terminals who are playing the common target game. CORD is trivially machine‐adaptive in that the program makes inductive inferences from the players' inputs and outputs suggestions to the players for system performance improvement.
