Abstract A computer model which simulates interaction in decision‐making is presented. The basic unit of process in the model is information. Results of an application of the model are discussed in which the effects of political influences on temporal factors in executive decision‐making in two different types of industrial organization are explored. Variations of the dimensions of the basic model for future research are suggested.
