In the preceding Article (“The Relevance of the Behavioral Sciences to the Study of International Relations”) Singer urged an interdisciplinary approach to the study of political science. In this paper he discusses Sidney Verba's Small Groups and Political Behavior , which suggests ways of “bridging the gap between the political and the scientific” and discusses the advantages and disadvantages of attempting to apply sociological and social‐psychological materials and methods to the political process.
