A series of synthetic, semisynthetic and naturally occurring aporphine alkaloids were converted to the O ‐trimethylsilyl derivatives, and analyzed by gas chromatography mass spectrometry. A discussion of discussion of structurally informative fragment ions along with gas chromatographic data is presented. Their applicability to the analysis of biological metabolites of apomorphine, a CNS active structural analog of dopamine, is discussed.
