The [OH] − chemical ionization spectra of methadone and three metabolites and of l ‐α‐methadol and six metabolites are presented. The spectra are simple, but the methadol compounds exhibit much fragmentation. The ionization sensitivity is somewhat greater than that in CH 4 positive chemical ionization.
