Fenpyroximate is a pesticide used to control mites for various crops including fruits, bellflower, and vegetables. In Korea and other countries, restrictions on the amount of fenpyroximate used are mandated by governmental agencies. The dispersive liquid–liquid microextraction (DLLME) method was used as a pretreatment method for chromatographic analysis of fenpyroximate from aqueous samples and the extraction parameters were optimized. The extraction and dispersion solvents, ratio of extraction to dispersion solvent, pH, and salt contents were optimized. The optimized parameters for fenpyroximate extraction were: extraction solvent, 1,2‐dichloroethane; dispersing solvent, methanol; ratio of the extraction to dispersion solvent, 1:10; pH, 6; salt content, 0 g. The detection limit (LOD) and limit of quantification (LOQ) of the samples added in small amounts were 5.18 and 17.28 μg/L, respectively. The precision and accuracy were 3.3–12.7% and 96.7–107.0%, respectively.
