The semiconductor Cu 2 ZnSnS 4 (CZTS), was synthesized by reacting CuO, ZnO, and SnO with ethanolamine, 2‐methoxyethanol, and thioglycolic acid. Anatase TiO 2 particle was dispersed into the CZTS precursor solution, so that TiO 2 /CZTS heterojunction was created through the nucleation of CZTS onto the TiO 2 surface. The photocatalytic efficiencies of TiO 2 /CZTS heterojunction samples with different TiO 2 :CZTS ratios were then investigated. The photocatalytic efficiency of TiO 2 /CZTS heterojunction sample was found to be superior to those of CZTS and the efficiency decreased with an increase in the TiO 2 :CZTS ratio. The highest efficiency, obtained from the 1:1 sample, was about 1.7 times that of P‐25.
