Synthesis and characterization of three neutral complexes of Rh(I) with 2‐[2‐(diphenylphosphino) ethyl]pyridine, ( PPh 2 Etpy ) ( a ), 2‐(diphenylphosphino)pyridine ( PPh 2 py ) ( b ), and 3‐(diphenylphosphino)‐1‐propylamine ( PPh 2 ( CH 2 ) 3 NH 2 ) ( c ) are reported. These complexes exhibit good catalytic activity toward the transfer hydrogenation of carbonyl compounds to the corresponding alcohols with high conversion rate.
