A one‐dimensional model, taking into account the diffusion of substrate between the liquid phase and the solid support, has been used to describe fixed bed enzyme reactors. The equations were solved numerically, and the values of the different parameters were calculated by a nonlinear regression method. The model was applied to different systems. The results are presented and discussed.
