The formation of gibberellic acid in single‐stage continuous cultures was studied. Stirred fermenters of 3 and 20‐l. working volumes were used. Maximum output of gibberellic acid was obtained at a holding time of 200 hr. The rate of formation, calculated on the basis of mycelial nitrogen, was comparable with the highest values reported for batch cultures.
