A process has been developed whereby arginine decarboxy‐oxidase (ADO) can be produced by growing Streptomyces griseus in submerged form in 20‐l. and 200‐l. tank fermentors. A medium containing salts, corn steep, glucose, or starch is used. With addition of 0.02% arginine and with limited aeration, a high yield has been obtained.
