Vacuum UV CD of the low‐salt Z‐forms of poly(rG‐dC)·poly(rG‐dC), and poly(dG‐m 5 dC)·poly(dG‐m 5 dC)

The vacuum CD spectra of poly(rG‐dC)·poly(rG‐dC) and poly(dG‐m 5 dC)·poly(dG‐m 5 dC) have been obtained for the low‐salt Z‐conformations of both polymers. The spectra are very similar to those for the high‐salt Z‐forms. This behavior is consistent with the suggestion that the low‐ and high‐salt Z‐forms are comprised of different proportions of Z I ‐ and Z II ‐conformations.
