Double stranded RNA from CPV and RDV have been studied by the flow‐dichroism technique. The flow orientation and dichroic spectra have shown that the molecular chain is flexible and has bases tilted slightly against the helix axis. It has been shown also that the wavelength dependency is similar to that of DNA, which strongly suggests the existence of an n − π* transition of bases around the 230 nm region.
