Dielectric dispersion and viscosity measurement, s were performed on apotransferrin and transferrin monomers in aqueous solutions so as to check the influence of iron binding on the overall conformation of the molecule. Iron saturation by two iron atoms per transferrin molecule modifies the parameters of the equivalent ellipsoid. The molecule becomes more spherical while its hydration value remains high.
