This paper deals with the light scattering from particles rotating in a flow with a transverse velocity gradient. It is theoretically substantiated and experimentally proved that the scattered light spectrum contains reliable information of the particle configuration and dimensions. The proposed technique may prove also very promising for the analysis of particle polydispersion.
