A series of stereoregular α‐(1 → 6) linked glucomannans have been prepared by Lewis acid‐catalyzed copolymerization of anhydro sugar derivatives followed by debenzylation. The products have been characterized for mole fraction of the individual monomer, and sequence lengths have been calculated from copolymerization data. The viscosity, specific rotation, and 13 C nmr spectra have been correlated with the structure of the various copolymers.
